Trivia geeks get last chance to score a trip to the land of leprechauns.
By Cris Glaser
Published: February 27, 2008Faith and begorrah! Time is running out at the Claddagh bar chain's weekly Pub Quiz to win a chance at an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Ireland. For two months, trivia freaks have been answering a series of brainbusters every Tuesday night at the pub's 16 locations throughout the Midwest. At the end of the quiz, contestants with the highest scores at each club are eligible for tomorrow's drawing for the vacation. At its Legacy Village and Crocker Park pubs, as many as 90 test-takers each week have tried to think like human encyclopedias to win. "The questions range from anything to everything, with random questions on random things," says Ray Blake, assistant manager at the Crocker Park club. "Some weeks, you feel really dumb, and some weeks, you don't feel too bad." Quiz time is from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Claddagh Irish Pub, 139 Crocker Park Boulevard in Westlake and 25389 Cedar Road in Lyndhurst. Admission is free. Call 440-250-8680 or 216-691-0534 or visit www.claddaghirishpubs.com.
