Until a few weeks ago, West Side movie buffs thought they were getting the shaft, when it came to theaters rerunning classic films. Not anymore, with Regal Cinemas' Flashback on Features every Wednesday on its Middleburg Heights screens.Since the series began last month, the theater has shown fan faves like Moulin Rouge and American Pie. Tonight, it's unspooling The Matrix — the sci-fi thriller about a computer hacker and a band of mysterious rebels, starring Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne. "The West Side is just neglected, because we have an equal amount of film buffs," says Mike Wendt, the theater's associate manager. "A lot of these movies are shown at the Cedar Lee or the Cinematheque, which are great places. But it would be great not to drive 35 minutes to see them." Sit back with your popcorn at 8 p.m. Wednesdays at the Regal Cinema, 18348 West Bagley Road in Middleburg Heights. Admission is $6. Call 440-891-9845.
